visited these small wineries. We skip the big corporate wineries,
and give you an "insider" look at winemaking, the opportunity to meet
the owners and the winemakers.

The Ambience
Our journey begins when you
arrive in paradise . . California’s Napa Valley. Nestled in the
quaint, historic town of St. Helena, The Inn at Southbridge, sister
property to world famous Meadowood Resort, becomes your home base for
the next four glorious days and three nights.
Inspired by the small town
squares of Europe, The Inn has both an air of privacy and the liveliness
and convenience of its St. Helena address.
Your quarters are spacious
with vaulted ceilings, fireplace and king bed with down comforter.
French doors open onto a private balcony, affording views of the
courtyard, the rolling hills and the picturesque town of St. Helena.
Just over the stone bridge
at the Inn’s front door, the town unfolds with its offerings of fine
shops, galleries and coffee houses.
A delicious continental
breakfast awaits you each morning as you prepare for the delightful day
ahead.
The Food
Evenings will feature an
indescribable adventure in dining. Perhaps the first evening you will
wonder “How can this meal ever be topped?” only to discover that the
next evening, it is.
We have arranged for the
entire tour group to visit three of the finest Napa Valley restaurants,
a different one each night, and be accommodated in small tables of four
or six, dutch treat. Dinner and wine selections are of your choosing,
and you will pay the restaurant directly.
The restaurants and
reservation times will be provided in a mailing to you prior to your
arrival.
The Wines
Arouse your every sense. By
special arrangement, we will form small groups and visit six to eight of
the best small production wineries in the world. These wineries, most
still family owned and operated, produce those big reds that have
brought acclaim far and wide, and are a must for the cellar of any
serious red wine devotee. Currently, we plan to visit Tudal,
Vincent Arroyo, Sullivan, Steltzner, Plumpjack, Miner and Saddleback
wineries, and perhaps one or two others. Due to scheduling, there
may be substitutions, but rest assured, they will all be great wine
producers.
Swirl and sniff to your
heart’s content. These artisans are rightfully proud of their winemaking
skills, and delight in seeing you enjoy and applaud their efforts.
The Details
Plan your own airline or
other transportation to Napa Valley. At your request, we can arrange
shuttle service from and to Oakland, San Francisco or Sacramento
airports.
You will meet up with the
tour at the Inn in St. Helena on the afternoon of April 1, 2008 as you
arrive and check in. Promptly at 6:00 pm we will leave the hotel
for the first event. Ground transportation for tour events will
be provided. King bed hotel room, breakfasts and lunches are included.
The cost of this tour is
$1,085.00 per person. Rates are per person based on double
occupancy. Please add $625.00 for single occupancy.
Full payment must accompany registration.

before departure will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 29 days
of departure will receive no refund.

its founding as a hot spring resort over 130 years ago, Calistoga has
come to be known worldwide for its spas, its resorts, its mineral
waters, its healing mud baths, and, of course its delightful shopping.
