The purpose of this workshop is to help you find the wellspring of “sensory memory” inside you, to learn to turn it on at will, and to help you direct that flow of creative energy into stronger, more effective writing … writing filled with images that allow your words to say more, connect better emotionally with the readers or listeners

The Never Ending River. There is a virtual river of creative thought deep inside the caverns of your mind.  It flows constantly, coursing through the underground regions, like a torrent of rushing river water, looking to overrun and break through the sandbags that are blocking its way, pushing hard to gush out and flood the plains of your conscious thought.

The river has always been there.  The problem is, by the time we are adults, we’ve piled the sand bags so high we can’t see over them.  We can’t see the precious waters of truly creative thought waiting to overwhelm us just on the other side.  Occasionally, a trickle, sometimes more, but we tend to find only puddles, with no clue how to locate and control the true source, the river of creativity.  At that source, we can drink freely whenever we choose, filling our heads and our pens with an endless supply of truly original ideas and descriptions . . . enough to paint millions of “word pictures”.

At this workshop, you will learn where that river of creative thought comes from, what it is comprised of, how your “river” is different from any other person’s, and how that uniqueness can be used to make your writing more effective, more personal to the recipient.

This workshop will give you the tools to understand and control the creative source inside you, and how to truly turn the tap “on” in an instant and enjoy the sweet flow of descriptive imagery that makes writing “connect”.
